High-res
When I first started looking around for a corgi, I was extremely adamant about finding a boy. I already had all these names picked out, all these collars and leashes, these toys, everything for my little boy. Then one day, we stumbled across this little 2-month old corgi that was just absolutely perfect. I played with it for hours and fell in love. When I realized it was a girl, I wanted to leave and keep looking at other breeders. But my fiance reminded me how picky I was. He reminded me that my perfect dog was right in front of me, it just happened to be a girl. But he knew that this was the one, and that we weren’t going to leave without her.
Everyone told me that a dog would be too much to handle in college, but that was never true with Astrid. Since the day we brought her home, she has been so patient with us and adapted to OUR schedules. She doesn’t ask for a lot and is happy for whatever time we can make for her. She’s so incredibly smart and loves everyone - especially children. But she’s a million times better than a child and I don’t think I’ll ever want one as long as I have her around.
Happy 1st Birthday to my corg! ♥
